Layla Akhmetova is a Kazakh violinist born in 1990. She began violin lessons at the age of eight and studied at the Kazakh National Academy of Music. She studied at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik in Berlin with Prof. Saschko Gawriloff and completed her Master's degree in Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien with Dalibor Karvay.
Layla has won several international competitions. As an orchestral musician she was the second principal violin of the Berlin Residence Orchestra and a member of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra in Bratislava. She also played in the trio "The Saxophone
Connections" (violin, violoncello and alto saxophone). The trio presented its first CD in Bratislava in May 2022.
Layla is a soloist of the chamber ensemble "Chambers of Lights".
Since 2018 - guest artist and since 2023 - jury member of the "Golden Key" Festival at Carnegie Hall.

Layla Akhmetova wurde in Kasachstan geboren. Im Alter von acht Jahren begann sie mit dem Geigenunterricht und studierte an der Nationalen Musikakademie Kasachstans.
Sie studierte an der Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin bei Prof. Saschko Gawriloff. Ihr Masterstudium absolvierte sie in Wien bei Dalibor Karvay.
Layla ist Preisträgerin mehrerer internationaler Wettbewerbe. Als Orchestermusikerin war sie Mitglied der Slowakischen Philharmonie in Bratislava. Außerdem spielte sie im Trio “The Saxophone
Connections" (Violine, Violoncello und Altsaxophon). Das Trio präsentierte seine erste CD im Mai 2022 in Bratislava.
Layla ist Solistin des Kammerensembles "Chambers of Lights".
Seit 2018 - eine Gastkünstlerin und seit 2023 Jurymitglied des Festivals "Golden Key" Festival in der Carnegie Hall.

Лейла Ахметова родилась в Казахстане. Начала заниматься скрипкой в возрасте восьми лет и училась в Казахской национальной академии музыки в классе профессора Светланы Абдусадыковой и Алмы Абатовой.
Высшее образование получила в высшей школе музыки имени Ганса Айслера в Берлине у профессора Сашко Гаврилова. Магистратуру закончила в университете искусств в Вене в классе известного словацкого скрипача Далибора Карвея.
Лейла является лауреатом международных конкурсов. Как оркестровый музыкант работала концертмейстером группы вторых скрипок в камерном оркестре резиденции Шарлоттенбург в Берлине, была членом Словацкого филармонического оркестра в Братиславе. Как камерный музыкант Лейла также играла в составе трио "The Saxophone Connections" (скрипка, виолончель, саксофон). Трио представило свой первый диск в Братиславе в мае 2022 года.
Лейла - солистка камерного ансамбля "Chambers of Lights". С которым успешно выступает с 2019 года.
С 2018 года - приглашенный артист, а с 2023 года - член жюри фестиваля "Золотой ключик” (“Golden Key”), который ежегодно проводится в Карнеги-холле в Нью-Йорке.
